At the northern end of the Ridge Route coming up from the Waco Indian Village, was a prehistoric Indian site described by Oak Cliff historian George Santerre in his book The White Cliffs of Dallas. On this fragment of an 1852 map of the Peters Colony, the ancient Ridge Route is outlined in red and the location of two Indian Mounds Santerre mentioned is indicated with the green dot.

On this fragment of an 1886 topological map, drawn by the U.S. Geological Survey, the approximate location of Remond's two Indian Mounds is shown with a red dot.

On this fragment of an 2016 aerial photograph what I believe to have been the location of Remond's two Indian Mounds is shown with a red dot. Virtually the entire surface on Remond's original site surface has been quarried away. I found no library containing any record made by Remond about his excavation findings at these Indian Mounds, none of his Indian artifacts supposedly given to the Dallas Historical Society (according to Santerre), nor any other written account about this ancient prehistoric site.
